Begonia ludwigii (spotted form)

30 seeds of the rarer, more sought-after form of this uncommon South American species.This is a large cane species with a caudex-like base and a thick trunk that is reluctant to branching out. Leaves are large, thin and rough, with large spots when very young, but the silver tips persists on mature leaves. Requires high humidity conditions, and considerable space, but can tolerate dryer conditions for many months. First time offer of these very rarely produced seeds. Seedlings could show significant variations.

All of our seeds are hand-pollinated by us in Quebec, Canada to ensure pure, true-to-species stock. Germination rates are retested every few months. This species starts germinating during the third week.
