30 seeds of this high elevation Himalayan species. Despite its long presence in horticulture seeds of this species are very rarely available. Renowned as the most cold-hardy begonia, it can be planted in flowerbed in more northerly climates, as the dormant tubers can withstand -20C winters if properly protected, and we have successfully overwintered them in Quebec! Large pink or white flowers are produced in the fall, and large axillary bulbils are also produced all along the stems before the plants become dormant.
All of our seeds are produced by us through hand-pollination to insure purity, in Canada. Seeds are retested periodically for germination rate.
