SEEDS Begonia sp. “Ferny”

Listing is for 25+ Begonia sp. “Ferny” seeds. This stunning begonia is possibly the bluest-leaved wild begonia in horticulture today (photos taken without flash). The crimson, hairy stems stand out in stark contrast. Always more impressive when viewed live as the colours are a challenge to capture un photographs. Intensity is most pronounced early in the day, and fades to a deep forest green in the evening, only to return the next! An eye-catching centrepiece in any terrarium. Seeds of this species are rarely available. 

IMPORTANT NOTICE: this is a slow germinator, starting at the 5th week, only peaking at the 9th. So it is preferable to properly sterilize the sowing media prior to sowing to prevent early smothering of seedling by algae or moss growth.

Terrarium species, recommended humidity 90%+.
